There are various ways to utilize biogas, each with its unique application scenarios. The following is a detailed introduction for you:

Biogas power generation

Rural centralized gas and electricity supply areas: In some villages or rural residential areas, there is a certain scale of aquaculture industry that can provide abundant biogas raw materials. On the one hand, these areas require stable electricity for daily life, and on the other hand, they also have a demand for gas. By constructing biogas power generation projects, the electricity generated can be connected to the rural power grid to meet the daily electricity needs of villagers, such as lighting and household appliances; The generated waste heat can also be used for winter heating, and the excess biogas can provide cooking gas for villagers.

Industrial organic wastewater treatment plant: Industrial wastewater from industries such as food processing, papermaking, and brewing contains a large amount of organic matter, and a large amount of biogas is generated during the treatment of these wastewater. By using these biogas to generate electricity, the electricity generated can meet some of the electricity needs of the sewage treatment plant itself, such as the operation of water pumps, aeration equipment, etc., thereby reducing the operating costs of the enterprise and improving the self-sufficiency rate of energy.

Large scale breeding farms: The farms produce a large amount of livestock and poultry manure every day, which can be anaerobically fermented to produce a large amount of biogas. By constructing a biogas power generation system, not only can the waste from the breeding farm be treated, reducing environmental pollution, but the generated biogas can also be converted into electricity to meet the internal electricity needs of the breeding farm, such as the operation of lighting, ventilation, feed processing and other equipment.

Biogas heating

Agricultural greenhouse: In northern regions, the temperature is lower in winter, and agricultural greenhouses require a large amount of heat to maintain the temperature required for crop growth. The biogas heating system can provide a stable heat source for greenhouses, and maintain a suitable temperature inside the greenhouse through hot water circulation or hot air heating. Moreover, the carbon dioxide produced by burning biogas can also be used as gas fertilizer, promoting crop photosynthesis and improving crop yield and quality.

Small processing plants: Some small processing plants with certain temperature requirements, such as wood drying plants, food processing plants, etc., require stable heat sources to meet the needs of production processes. The biogas heating system can provide a suitable temperature and flow rate of heat medium according to the heat consumption characteristics of the factory, meeting the heating, drying and other needs in the production process, while reducing the energy cost of the factory.

Hotels, schools and other public buildings: These places usually have significant heating needs, such as winter heating, hot water supply, etc. Using biogas for heating can reduce dependence on traditional fossil fuels, lower operating costs, and reduce pollutant emissions, which meets environmental protection requirements.

As a vehicle fuel

Urban public transportation such as buses and taxis: Urban public transportation vehicles have relatively fixed routes, long operating hours, and high demand for fuel. Purifying biogas as vehicle fuel can reduce vehicle exhaust emissions and improve urban air quality. Meanwhile, compared with gasoline and diesel, biogas as a vehicle fuel has a cost advantage and can reduce the fuel costs of public transportation operators.

Logistics fleet: For some logistics companies' fleets, the vehicles have long travel distances and high fuel consumption. Using biogas as a vehicle fuel can reduce logistics costs and to some extent reduce dependence on imported oil. In addition, logistics companies can build gas stations in their own parking lots to facilitate vehicle refueling.

Production of chemical products

Biogas engineering around the chemical industrial park: If the biogas engineering is close to the chemical industrial park, the produced biogas can be transported to chemical enterprises through pipelines as raw materials for the production of chemical products. This can achieve on-site conversion and efficient utilization of resources, reduce production costs for chemical enterprises, and provide a broader approach for the comprehensive utilization of biogas.

Regions with a chemical industry foundation: In some regions with a chemical industry foundation, there are well-established chemical production facilities and technical talents. Utilizing the abundant biogas resources in the local area to produce chemical products can extend the industrial chain, increase product added value, and promote local economic development. For example, using methane from biogas to produce methanol, methanol can be further used to produce chemical products such as formaldehyde and acetic acid.
